The Seaside Club provides a chance for our child patients and their families to experience a holiday at the Romanian Seaside. This is a unique opportunity for these families as the vast majority of our child patients are from poor and low-income families. This is a residential trip for approximately 35 children with rare or life-limiting illnesses and their families (altogether around 130 people). Volunteers during the Club will be based at the Black Sea. Activities include: spending the morning and afternoon on the beach and swimming in the sea, crafts, games, UK entertainment and evening activities (visiting the local town, party, film night, etc).

We ask each UK volunteer to raise a minimum of £700* to take part in this trip. This money will cover your:

  • Air Fares (from London)
  • Transfers to and from the airport in Romania
  • Accommodation
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Seaside Club
  • Disclosure and barring service check

We also ask volunteers to contribute craft materials for the activities during the week
