Can you help us provide urgent care?

Our partner organisation in Serbia, BELhospice, are in desperate need of new transportation in order to reach patients with life limiting and terminal illnesses in Belgrade and up to a 60km radius around it. There has been a significant increase in demand for home-care services and our team need to be able to travel further and reach more patients in need. To do so they require three new cars.

We are asking for your support to raise £12,000 to cover the cost of a car – can you help us to provide urgent and vital care?

Donate to our appeal - we will add your name onto the door of the car as a thank you for your donation of £100 or over. If you or your company are in a position to sponsor one car at £12,000 we will name it after you. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this opportunity further.

Sponsor one car - we will name it after you or your business!

Who will these cars help?

Darinka was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2018. She had surgery, chemotherapy and stoma implantation to battle this. She also had high blood pressure and was diabetic.

In 2020, at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, her cancer returned. On top of all this, Darinka fell and broke her hip and lost her mobility. Her daughter, Snezana, explained the position they were facing:

My sister and I lived abroad, but travelled back to Serbia to help our mother. Being immobile and on the sofa the whole time, she had developed severe bedsores. We needed to move her but we didn’t have enough strength. Katarina from BELhospice was the only person from whom we got a kind, warm, humane and professional word. She straight away facilitated the lending of a hospital bed to us, enabling us to have more free time and provide her with better quality care, and less pain and discomfort for her in the terminal stage of the illness. I can hardly convey all the gratitude, respect and love that we feel towards the selfless, professional staff at BELhospice.”

With your help, we can support more patients like Darinka.
