Hospices of Hope began working in the Republic of Moldova in 2008, and in 2017 launched the first National Network of Palliative Care services in the country. It annually provides over 20,000 home care visits to patients in need of vital care.

Currently, there are 4 palliative care teams offering free of charge services to beneficiaries living with life-limiting illnesses. In 2022 the first specialist Day Care Centre was launched in Orhei, and declared as a role model by the Minister of Health.

The services provided by Hospices of Hope Moldova include access to specialist medicines and medical equipment, they offer continuous support from the central office in order to support patients in Orhei, Taraclia, Soroca and Ocnita which are located in the north, south and central parts of the country

Being a neighbouring country to Ukraine, in 2022, Hospices of Hope Moldova helped refugees from Ukraine when the war started, by providing social, medical and psychological support. The organisation was also the first one that organised a dedicated fundraising event for Ukrainian people, which was supported by the first lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska.

The small fundraising department in Moldova organises 10 – 12 events per year with the participation and support of the President of the Republic of Moldova, Minister of Health, Vice Prime Minister, and diplomatic corps in Moldova.
