Jules Goodwin Fundraising Executive (Scotland) Before Hospices of Hope, I've previously worked as a business development manager in occupational health for almost twenty years before moving to Scotland and fulfilling my passion to join the third sector. I worked for Maggie’s in Aberdeen and latterly for two years with Alzheimer Scotland. My current role will be to fundraise for Hospices of Hope across Scotland, raising money and awareness of our work. Key to that will be the development of donor and volunteer relationships though a range of engagement activities and communications. The reason I decided to work for Hospices of Hope is due to my past experiences with hospices. Two UK hospices played a significant part in my family’s life, they turned a very challenging time into a peaceful and surprisingly happy experience, since then I believe passionately that all people should have access to the emotional, and practical support of a hospice, they are amazing places with teams of wonderful people. I am proud to be a part of the Hospices of Hope cause whose work in south east Europe is inspirational, making a huge difference to children, women, men and their families living with terminal and life limiting illnesses. I've only recently started working for the charity, however so far I have met several energetic cyclists at the end of their three day cycle challenge, joined them (and a lovely duchess) for a cup of tea in a castle, the positivity was infectious. I have spent time learning about the charity with my new passionate colleagues and I am enjoying every minute. I am looking forward to sharing the amazing story of Hospices of Hope across the very generous communities of Scotland, developing our supporter and volunteer base and raising funds to help the cause be as successful as possible in helping more people to have access to care which we would take for granted in the UK.
