Founder and Fundraising Consultant

I started my career as company secretary of the family car business that my grandfather started in the 1920's, followed by two years teaching English in Sweden.

In 1984, I returned to the UK to run the business as my father had been diagnosed with cancer. This led to my interest in the hospice movement and I founded the Ellenor Hospice in Dartford in 1984.

In 1992, I was able to use my experience to start the first hospice in Romania, a country that I had visited the first time in 1975.

I became CEO of Hospices of Hope in 2001 until my (semi) retirement in 2017. I now work 3 days a week for the charity as a Fundraising Consultant.
