Every cancer patient has the right for the highest possible quality of life. Their right is our duty!

Every year in Serbia, my home country, 20,000 patients die from cancer. Very few of them have access to specialist palliative care. Devastated by incurable disease, majority of terminally ill cancer patients in Serbia do not have adequate medical support due to shortcomings and lack of appropriate infrastructure and resources. Apparently, a specialist inpatient hospice that provides multi-disciplinary palliative care to terminally ill cancer patients and their families is missing and represents a huge unmet social, healthcare and patient need.

At the the same moment, Belhospice tries to change this and help patients and their families by:
- Providing palliatives care to terminally ill patients in accordance to standards
- Conducting the process of education of relevant professionals as well as of the general public
- Promoting the palliative care concept and encouraging the community to support their work
...but, they need our support because they cannot do it on their own.

I strongly believe that we can make a change and significantly increase quality of life or patients with cancer in Serbia.

Of course, you quickly realized that the target date (end date of this campaign) is my birthday. Your best present will be a small donation to this campaign. Thank you for the bottom of my heart!
