Soroptimist Tunbridge Wells is one of 3000 clubs worldwide, we are committed to improving the lives of women and girls. Our work includes hands on service, fundraising for national and international projects, awareness raising and lobbying.
As it has been difficult to meet in person because of coronavirus restrictions we have endeavoured to take photographs to support this fundraising project.
We have taken the anniversary theme and translated it into a visual representation of the 30 years Hospices of Hope has been operating.

Our 30 images of Pearls in unusual places will appear on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TunbridgeWellsSoroptimist

Here is a brief summary of the appeal:
The Let’s do 30 for £30 Appeal is to raise funds for hospice home care. There is a particularly urgent need for more teams in Bucharest.
Home care is a vital service. Most people prefer to spend their final days in familiar surroundings at home with their loved ones. Others simply do not have the choice as there are no inpatient hospice facilities available to them.
The home care teams bring comfort and care to patients in their homes. Nurses and doctors are often supported by hospice social workers, psychologists and volunteers.
Sometimes the home care teams are the only people the patients have contact with.

We hope that the images will bring some joy and pleasure and inspire you to support this important fundraiser.

We have set a small target of £30 and any pledge no matter how small will make a difference.
