Luke Sedge

In December 2017 at 42 years of age I was diagnosed with bowel cancer. This as you may imagine shook my family’s world to the core. 2018 saw me in and out of hospital numerous times, operations, chemo treatment, nurse and doctor consultations, scans, blood tests, community nurses, counciling services the list goes on. My point is,all these services were given to me and I didn’t have to ask once. We are all guilty of taking things for granted but without our amazing NHS (despite having to sit and wait sometimes) and cancer charities in this country we/I would be living a very different life.
I Praise God for getting me through this,,along with all the amazing health care professionals who have got me where I am today.
I’m running this half marathon to raise money and awareness so the families and children who don’t have what we have in places like Moldova and Serbia have somewhere to go, somewhere to feel loved and supported, somewhere to get help, somewhere that gives them Hope.
So please give generously and look at the Hospice of hope web page to see all the amazing work they do.
Thank you
