Run and Walk4BELhospice

Will you help adults and children with rare, life-limiting and terminal illnesses in Serbia?

Take on our challenge and raise funds for BELhospice, the only palliative care provider in Serbia.

Between now and 1st March, set yourself a number of kilometres to walk or run (or both!) and try and beat this target… Track your progress through use of the Strava app (we will send you a link to join our challenge group once you have registered) and then share your journey with family, friends and colleagues, asking them to support you through donations to BELhospice.

To start your challenge, register below for £20 and you will receive a personalised ‘Hospices of Hope’ t-shirt to wear as you complete your distance. Once you have signed up, we will send you an email with a link to our Strava group, and a link for you to set up your JustGiving page and start fundraising!

How will your funds raised help?
Hospices of Hope partnered with BELhospice in Belgrade, Serbia, in 2006. We have been working with them to provide palliative care to patients in Serbia ever since. Serbia has the highest cancer mortality rate in Europe, but BELhospice is still the only NGO in Serbia offering free-of-charge specialist palliative care. BELhospice offers home-care services in Belgrade, and in 2018, a hospice care centre was opened, and a palliative day-care service was added – the first in the country. BELhospice’s long-term aim is to facilitate the opening of an in-patient unit in Belgrade.
