Devotions - Costi Keenan (20/03/20) Do you know that God loves you? During these times of uncertainty, we often ask ourselves why me, why us? What is happening in the world around us? So many questions, so many worries. Where is God in all of this? For that I want to share with you that God is aware of what’s going on, God is everywhere, and He sees everything. Nothing that is happening around us is a surprise to Him. In other words, Trusting in Him is a key to make it through all of the challenges and obstacles that we are all facing currently. I know that it might be hard to understand but I want to also encourage with a passage from the Bible that talks about His love for us. For us to experience the kind of love that surpasses all understanding we must belong to Him. In other words, we must let God take control, for right now we are powerless to even do anything. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. God loves each so very much with an unimaginable Love. The kind of Love that Christ God’s only Son died on our behalf. God showed His love for us through His son. If you read the life of Jesus and his suffering at the cross, then you will understand what Christ has done for us. Remember He died but then Christ also overcome death. He rose again the third day. This should be an encouragement that God has the power to takes us through anything. God was there every step of the way with Jesus. He is with us every minute of our lives. If anything, HE is the only one that can walk with us and gives the strength and the means to go through any challenges. When we are weak, He is strong. His Love is like magnet, a very strong magnet. Where nothing can separate us from his Love. Read Verse 35 in Romans chapter 8. Because of what Jesus has done on the Cross has brought many to Him. Now it’s time to open our eyes and let him take control. Let him help you through this crisis. He has done before. He knows exactly what to do. We can’t do it on our own. We need His help, and His expertise. If you are sick, He is the great physician. Living in fear will not keep you near God. It will take you away. If you are living in fear, it’s you, telling God that you don’t trust Him. Trust God for He is Trustworthy, and He keeps His promise. You are special in Gods eyes. Don’t forget that Gods got this, and He will carry you through. Make time for him through this time of uncertainty. If God wasn’t your priority, Make God your priority now. Read the Bible, ask questions. Search deep in your heart and build on your relationship with God. As for your work at Hospice, it is not in vain. You are where you are supposed to be. Not sure how this effect your work socially. But if you build on what God wants for you and understand this Love He has for you, you will be able to strengthen and encourage those that you are serving. God will be strength in these times, you are not alone, and you will never be alone. He is present in your lives. He will provide as He has done before. Trust Him and never doubt His love for you. These are the most trying times. His people and we are His creation need to cry out to Him. You are part of His creation therefore You are his beloved. He loves you and He will always love you. He will never let go of you or give you more than you could handle. God bless each you and I am praying for you all. I am leaving you with one of my favorite songs. Hang on for He’s got you in His hands.
