Andrew Jones from Avenue Baptist Church joined us this week for Devotions and was grateful to be with us. Several younger members of his church had been out to take part in one of our Summer Camps and gave really positive feedback in a recent service and it was great to hear about the work.

He will be going to Albania next week for 2 weeks and hopes to link up with some of our team out there too.

On reading a passage in the Bible recently the following verse spoke to him.

While he was still talking, some people came from the leader’s house and told him, “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher any more?”

Jesus overheard what they were talking about and said to the leader, “Don’t listen to them; just trust me.”

Mark 5:35-36 The Message version

Why don’t we bother Jesus? Is it too trivial, too late, do we believe there are bigger issues than ours?

Jesus says “don’t listen to them, just trust me”. We should bother him with our issues and worries, because he bothers about us, about Hospices of Hope, about our families. He loves each and every one of us so much that he wants us to bother him with things that concern us. He can listen to us and meet our needs.
