Insight Trip to Moldova – 2024

Hospices of Hope began working in the Republic of Moldova in 2008 and in 2017 launched the first National Network of Palliative Care services in the country.

From our team’s headquarters in Chisinau, we support 5 mobile palliative care teams in different regions of the country offering free of charge services to beneficiaries living with life-limiting illnesses.

In 2022 we funded the opening of the first palliative care day centre in Orhei and this was followed in 2023 by the second day centre in Chisinau.

To celebrate these milestones, we are holding an Insight Trip to Moldova in July this year. We would love to show you some of the work we are doing as well as giving you an insight into this fascinating country, which although is still one of the poorest countries in Europe, it is gradually moving closer to Europe and has so many hidden gems to reveal; famous wineries, delicious organic food, bucolic countryside and ancient monasteries.

Hospices of Hope Founder, Graham Perolls, CMG, OBE is leading the trip. Graham has been actively involved with the work in Moldova since the start. He has overseen the project for the new centre and has a very detailed knowledge about hospice care in Moldova.

The trip will include :

• A visit to two of the hospice centres in Moldova and a chance to meet some of the patients that benefit from its services
• The chance to meet members of the Hospices of Hope Moldova team
• A home visit with members of the medical team (optional)
• Sightseeing in Moldova

The trip will run from Wednesday 3rd July – Saturday 6th July 2024

The cost is £700 with a deposit of £250 payable on booking. The final payment will be required 1 month prior to the trip. The price includes return flights from London (airport/airline tbc and may include a connecting flight), accommodation, transfers, and meals. There may be some small additional costs such as alcoholic drinks.
