A milestone reached in our major capital project in Serbia Phase 1 of the BELhospice Hospice Center opened In 2015 we launched a joint campaign with country partner, BELhospice, to develop the first, purpose-built hospice center in Serbia and we are delighted to announce that the official opening of Phase 1 of the new center in Belgrade took place on 17th October, 2018. The center will offer two new services – a day-care center and an out-patient unit. It will also be the new base for home care services and BELhospice’s education and training department. A significant part of the funding for this project came from the EU and Yngve Engstroem, Head of Cooperation, Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia attended the official opening ceremony. He cut the ribbon to officially open the hospice with Zoran Đoršević, Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social affairs, HE Denis Keefe, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Serbia and Chairman of BELhospice Honorary Patrons Committee and Marko Jovanović, Assistant minister of the Ministry of Finance.
