Edelweiss Ball – the biggest annual event organized by Hospices of Hope Romania raised almost $340,000 that will be used to reinstate palliative home care in Bucharest.

As a hospice charity offering services in some of the poorest areas in Europe, we are used to bad news. One of them came last year when, because of the local financial instability Hospice Casa Sperantei, our Romanian organization, had to suspend the home care services offered for free to patients in three districts of Bucharest. It was one of the toughest decisions we faced in our 30 years of existence.

But we are delighted that with the tremendous help of our partners and supporters we managed to raise enough money to reinstate these essential services for patients in desperate need of help. We are incredibly thankful to all who are part of the Hospices of Hope story, supporting us in bringing relief to patients and their families.

The biggest charity event of the year organized by Romania’s Hospice Casa Sperantei (Hospice of Hope) turned a beautiful night of celebration into a night of hope and good deeds.

Three hundred guests showed up in support of our cause and spent a fantastic evening on the 5th of June in a great Bucharest based location. With the support of so many incredibly kind people, the night was a resounding success, a night of great food, amazing artistic moments, but most importantly, will allow us to bring relief to so many patients in need.

Hospice Casa Sperantei owns two hospitals in Bucharest and Brasov, mobile teams in 4 Romanian cities, 6 clinics aimed that offer palliative care as well as education for medical staff and over 100 beds for inpatient care.
