The total income of £2,490,575 was generated by the charities in the Hospices of Hope group in 2010.  The expenditure totalled £2,020,918.  These figures have been taken from the audited accounts of the charity in the UK and its partners in Romania, Serbia, Moldova and the USA.  82% fo the money is spent on the charities objects of hospice care, education, technical assistance and advocacy.

The surplus of £469,657 combines small surpluses from each of the charities in the group and a large surplus of £322,000 for the Bucharest Hospice Appeal restricted fund.  This money can only be spent on the building, equipping and running of the planned new hospice for Bucharest.  Construction is expected to start in 2012.
