Bagpuss - official supporter of Hospices of Hope

 

 

Hello, Bagpuss here,

 

I just wanted to say how pleased I am to be able to give my help to the Hospices of Hope.  I am also very proud to have helped raise money to build the Bagpuss Children’s Wing at Hospice Casa Sperantei, in Brasov.  We can now  care for some of the many children who need our help. The need is great though, so I still want your help to raise the money needed to keep it going.

 

 

 

 

FUNDRAISE WITH BAGPUSS AT SCHOOL

It has been a privilege to help fund the construction costs of the children’s wing and now I need your help to keep it running.  I am delighted that my show has brought great joy to many children and adults in this country over the years and my new status as the most popular character on children’s television means that an even wider audience is opening up.  A friend form the Hospices of Hope Appeal would be happy to come to your schools to talk to the children about hospice and how they can help.  We can also provide an information pack to help teachers to cover citizenship in the curriculum. 

 

 

I’D LIKE TO GO TO SCHOOL TOO

Unfortunately, many of the children are not able to attend State schools because of their physical condition.  For this reason, the Bagpuss School for Children was launched in 2005.  This unit offers basic education to children who are patients of the hospice.  The project has given a great sense of value to the children, some of whom are extremely bright, and has also been a tremendous support to their parents but it needs ongoing help to enable it to continue and develop.  Perhaps your school or group can help us with this project.  Please contact us to find out how.

“It is wonderful to see the children being so well cared for in the new Bagpuss Wing of the hospice, but hard to know that there are so many others in the rest of the country who receive no care at all.  We hope we can do something to change this”
